The Washoe County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) trains both medical and non-medical volunteers to help support local, state and federal disaster response efforts during emergencies and natural disasters. Our volunteers provide added volunteer staffing and crucial medical resources during disasters.
Disaster preparedness is a key component to the success of the MRC organization. That is why we require all of our MRC members to create their own Disaster Preparedness plan, review it with their family members, and create a Go Kit that is ready to deploy during emergencies.
Whether you are a licensed medical practitioner, someone with clinical training and experience, or someone with no medical background but the desire to help our community prepare for and respond to a public health emergency, the Washoe County MRC welcomes your participation.
